“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” 2 Corinthians 2:12
This is what I like about Paul. His utter reliance upon the Spirit of God. Here he states and makes and makes a case on how closely he relies upon the Spirit of God. He knows that with absolute certainty that there isn’t anything worthy of doing unless you rely upon the Spirit of God. He then goes on to make the case that he does this because of the intricate wisdom and insight you can get when you are tapped into such a power. Paul states in some of his observations: “the spirit not content to flirt around on the surface, dives into the depths of God and brings out what God planned along.” “Spiritually alive we have access to everything God’s Spirit is doing...” and finally, Paul answers a question from Isaiah “Is there anyone around who knows God’s Spirit. anyone knows what he is doing? it has been answered: Christ Knows, and we have Christ Spirit.”
Now, this is what I know, I know that there is power when you connect with God. So what does this mean. Maybe I should be connected more to the power of God rather then just try to rely upon myself. Yes I know, basic easy Christian stuff. But sometimes you forget, and you need the reminder that you need to plug in to the power of God.
Lord help me plug into you more and more deeply.
