Work the Land

“He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.” Proverbs 28:19

Here the wise man is offering that those who work the land will have abundance of food. You must work the land you have to get out there and put physical labor, hardship and pain behind the production. You have to do this daily, you have to do this constantly, you have to do this right. All three must be considered in order for this to work right. Contrary to that those who just plan, or just dream up a project, or just hope that it will happen. It isn’t. You need to work the land to produce fruit.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to plan. I love to think up of things but often what I forget is that if I want my dreams to pass, or if I want things to get done, well, I have to actually have to work, and work hard. Recently I read an article about Kobe Bryant and how his absolute goal and dream was to win the NBA Championship this year. But besides dreaming about it, he hired the trainer that trained Michael Jordan and worked his butt off this year. Now a recent quote he said “I feel stronger” He put the time and effort in. Now he is on a path to win an NBA Championship. So me? I love to dream. You know how many plans and to do list I have. Lots! But it’s not a to do list it’s do list. I have to take what Nike says and “Just Do it”.

Lord thank you for the reminder and help me to just do it.
